About Sci-rotica Publishing

We are aware that choosing the correct publisher for your work is a major decision. At Sci-rotica, we are keen to work with our authors to foster a good professional working relationship. Therefore, before you decide to submit your manuscript you may need some additional questions answered. Hopefully, most of these question can be answered by reading our Editorial Guidelines and Submission pages. You may also wish to examine a sample copy of our EPIC-based Contract.

Remember, you haven't committed to Sci-rotica until a contract is signed.

Here we present a list of author frequently asked questions grouped by topic. If we still haven't answered all your questions you can contact us for clarification: editor@sci-rotica.com

Who are Sci-rotica?

Sci-rotica is a new professional imprint for the best in erotic science fiction and fantasy. Sci-rotica is dedicated to the advancement of Electronic Publishing (e-publishing). We feel the most innovative and original new fiction is being published electronically. The majority of our titles will be released first as an e-book and then considered for print at a later date. However, we do not guarantee print publication even though we contract both electronic and print rights. Sci-rotica is looking for authors who are interested in and excited about publishing their works in electronic format. Because our expectations are extremely high, we choose to publish only the best in current fiction and we offer our readers books at a fair price based upon length (word count). Sci-rotica will not sell all e-books at one low price and we will not deflate your book's worth simply because it is an e-book. Since Sci-rotica only publishes original content, your submission must have electronic (e-book and audiobook) and print rights (hardcover and paperback) available.

Is Sci-rotica associated with any other publisher?

Yes. Sci-rotica is an imprint of S3 Publishing. Other imprints include ERoS: Erotic Romance Stories (www.eros-books.com), Sci-fiction.net : Science Fiction Stories (www.sci-fiction.net ) and YAB: Young Adult Books (www.ya-books.com).

What formats do Sci-rotica publish?

Sci-rotica publish e-books and audio books first and foremost. All manuscripts are released as an e-book first. If you only want to see your book in print either as a paperback or hardcover, we may not be the correct publishers for you. The majority of our titles will be released first as an e-book and then considered for print at a later date. However, we do not guarantee print publication even though we contract both electronic and print rights.

What is an e-book?

An e-book is like any other book: It has cover art, an author, an editor, a publisher and a great story! But instead of paper, e-books are digitally formatted computer files that you can read either on a personal computer or a dedicated handheld reading device. E-books come in a variety of formats. Sci-rotica is dedicated to the advancement of Electronic Publishing (e-publishing). We feel the most innovative and original new fiction is being published electronically. Many extremely creative and entertaining writers are opting for e-publishing rather than print because e-publishers are interested in more diverse, non-traditional and non-formulaic fiction. Sci-rotica is looking for authors who are interested in and excited about publishing their works in electronic format.
