Submissions

If you think you have a story that matches our demanding requirements then we would love to hear from you. Unsolicited manuscripts are welcome all year round as we are never closed to submissions. While we do accept multiple and simultaneous submissions, please indicate in your e-mail that your work is currently under consideration with another publishing company.

Currently, we are accepting short stories, novellas and novels. See our book length categories. We are seeking manuscripts containing plots centred around strong science fiction or fantasy themes.

Sci-rotica are primarily looking for erotic stories with a science fiction or fantasy theme. We are not looking for gratuitous sex without the normal tenures of good fiction: plot and characterization. See our guideline on acceptable content.

Sci-rotica do not accept all short stories on a royalty paying basis (see book length categories). However, Sci-rotica do hold a regular short story competition with generous prizes. Winners of the competition are published in our own Sci-rotica and Best of Sci-rotica anthologies. See the competition page for details and competition rules.

We are always happy to hear from artists and authors with relevant non-fiction ideas.

What We Are Looking For
Please make sure your work meets our requirements before submitting your manuscript. Sci-rotica are only looking for quality erotic science fiction and fantasy - not gratuitous pornography. If you are uncertain what genres we cover or what constitutes acceptable content please read our Editorial Guidelines.

Adopt a Professional Attitude
Please read our submission guidelines carefully. Sci-rotica expect authors to present a professional representation of their work - not a manuscript full of inconsistencies, historical inaccuracies, misspellings or grammatical mistakes. Act professionally - don't send us manuscripts full of typographical errors or formatted differently than outlined in our guidelines.
